My Experience
I hold certificate qualifications in Zoology and Herpetology, along with specialised courses in python and reptile husbandry.
I have extensive practical experience in a clinical setting working with a national veterinary clinic chain as a Veterinary Nurse Intern, as well assisting a holistic veterinarian in a private clinic.
Additionally, I have undertaken further studies on reptile viruses at the University of Queensland, gaining specialised knowledge and a deeper understanding of the diseases that snakes in Australia can be victim too.
About Me
As the founder and owner of Jurassic Wildlife, I have dedicated the past decade to collecting and breeding various Antaresia morphs.
Over the last four years, I've successfully managed breeding programs, focusing on exotic morphs while ensuring their health and well-being by housing all of my animals in enrichment filled stimulating enclosures.
My experience overseeing my python collection, as well as my qualifications, has equipped me with adequate practical knowledge on all the unique husbandry related requirements of reptiles, including behaviour, husbandry, anatomy, physiology, environmental/habitat needs, habitat design, nutrition, health monitoring, and more!
How It Works
A consultation will include a 30 or 60 minute online consult where I will likely require a photo of your snake and a photo of the enclosure, although this does depend on the issues you are looking to discuss.
I will observe the animals physical condition, as well as the environment your little scaly baby is living in to provide you with some advice and guidelines to work through whatever problems you may have, this may include shedding, eating, breeding, and more.
If you are simply looking for some advice on how to level up your husbandry or how to care for a snake species that you will be acquiring soon, a consult will also be useful as I can provide you with resources and answer any questions you may have!
DISCLAIMER
Please note that while I offer valuable insights based on my qualifications and experience, I am NOT a veterinarian. My advice is intended for educational husbandry purposes only and does not replace professional veterinary care. There are some questions that I will be unable to answer and if needed I will recommend you to see a reptile veterinarian if I can't help you. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical concerns regarding your animals.
See our Policy for information on our rules for cancellations.
Please don't hesitate to Contact Us if you have any questions!
