About Me

Hi, I’m Ava — founder and owner of Jurassic Wildlife, reptile breeder, and veterinary nurse!

My passion for animals (particularly reptiles) has been with me for as long as I can remember. Little me used to spend hours catching lizards, building makeshift enclosures, indulging in care guides, studying enclosure builds, and researching morphs. My mum still laughs about how my bedtime stories were veterinary textbooks like 'Reptile Medicine and Surgery in Clinical Practice.' Soon after, I welcomed my first pet snake, Wizard, a blonde spotted python, who remains part of my collection today!

As I grew older, my passion evolved and my first successful project was a pair of 100% het albino spotted pythons that I bred when I was 14 years old. Ever since, i've been working with reptiles and deepening my knowledge by learning from experienced breeders, keepers, educators, and exotic veterinarians.

What Do I Bring to The Table?

I’m more then a keeper and breeder — I’m a dedicated animal care professional who lives and breathes reptile health, behaviour, and husbandry.

I’ve completed over 385 hours of clinical experience in both general practice and integrative veterinary settings. I hold a Certificate II in Animal Studies and I’m currently progressing through a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at the University of Queensland Skills. My training is complemented by specialised certifications in reptile zoology, python husbandry, and venomous snake handling, along with dozens of continuing professional development (CPD) courses in exotic animal care.

What Is Jurassic Wildlife?

I founded Jurassic Wildlife in 2017 to bring together my passion for exotic Antaresia morphs, ethical breeding, and elevated reptile husbandry.

My mission is to raise the standards in reptile care while educating reptile keepers, breeders, and enthusiasts, and continuing to produce healthy hatchlings that push the limits of what we know about reptile morphs and genetics today.

Everything I create is designed to help reptiles thrive, not just survive, and to support keepers by providing them with the tools needed to offer the highest standard of care for their scaly babies confidently.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your reptile care to the next level — I’m here to help. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to Contact Me!
